Avoiding Plagiarism

What is plagiarism? Well, plagiarism is the act of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. In university or college, we can see that most of the students tend to do plagiarism to finish to their assignment. If you realize, actually we practise the act of plagiarism since we are in the middle school, but nobody tell us that it is wrong even our own teacher ask us to copy the work from somewhere such as internet to complete our homework.
It is easy to find the information for most research but there is a caution needs before you add the information into your project paper. To make sure that your work is free from plagiarism, if you find the research that fit with your project paper and you want to use the information, first you need to paraphrase the words. Read it and put it in your own word. Make sure you did not copy more than two words in one sentence. The other way to avoid plagiarism is by using citation. The citation is really simple and it is one of the most effective ways to avoid the plagiarism.

In my point of view, nowadays student wants to get higher grade but they do it in the wrong ways. The quality of the works is not that important as long as they can finish their work.
